Agata Mrva-Montoya (Dr)

Dr Agata Mrva-Montoya is senior lecturer and Degree Director of the Master of Publishing in the Discipline of Media and Communications at the University of Sydney. Previously she worked at Sydney University Press, where she led the implementation of accessible publishing practices. Her research examines the ways technological innovation and power structures shape the publishing industry, focusing specifically on their impact on equitable access to literature and knowledge. She is author of “Inclusive publishing and the quest for reading equity” (2025) and co-author of “Books without barriers: a practical guide to inclusive publishing” (2023).

Sonali Marathe

Sonali Marathe is the Manager of Accessible Information Service at NextSense. A passionate advocate for equitable access to information, she leads initiatives in braille education, tactile graphics, inclusive publishing, and children’s literacy.
Sonali has contributed her expertise to global initiatives, including expert panels convened by the United Nations and UNICEF on accessible books and digital textbooks. She was also a partner investigator in a research collaboration with Monash University, exploring how 3D printing can enhance access to graphics for people who are blind or have low vision.

David Rice

David Rice is a retired Chartered Accountant with extensive experience in multi-national manufacturing corporations, mainly in South East Asia. He crews regularly on racing yachts and is a drummer with a rock band. He and his wife live in inner-Sydney.

Jane Wegener

Jane Wegener is the Production Manager for the Accessible Format Team at Vision Australia, a role she has been in for over 20 years. She is an experienced operations manager with a passion for improving access to information for people with print disabilities.
When she is not being an Uber driver for her two teenage children, Jane enjoys reading, baking, playing tennis, hanging out with the family dog, and spending time in the garden. She is also a trained florist and loves to create arrangements for family and friends.

Tristan Clare

Tristan Clare is a braille proofreader with the NextSense production team (formerly RIDBC). She has been a member of the ABA Executive since 2018 and is a member of the Australian Trans-Tasman Certificate of Proficiency in Unified English Braille Committee.

Francois Jacobs

Francois Jacobs is a sessional academic in the Disability and Inclusion Pathway at Deakin University, and winner of the ‘Leading by Example’ category at the inaugural ADCET Accessibility in Action Awards in 2022.
He has been awarded Disability Leadership Scholarship in 2023 and served as a Board Director of Blind Citizens Australia (2021-2024). Francois also does freelance quality control on audio description for SBS, and delivers inclusive arts practice training as a lived experience consultant in Melbourne.

David Davenport

David Davenport joined the Executive Committee in October 2025. As Accessible Formats Production Manager at Blind Low Vision NZ, he has spent more than five years advancing accessible information across Aotearoa. David brings strengths in project leadership, communications, hosting and public speaking, and hands-on production in Braille and tactile formats. He is skilled at turning complex work into clear, engaging stories that lift awareness and uptake of accessibility.
Thomas Bryan

Thomas Bryan joined the Executive Committee in October 2025. He has worked in the field of assistive technologies for over 30 years. In his contract role with Blind Citizens NZ, Thomas offers information and advice to New Zealand government agencies, organisations and businesses on making information accessible. As part of the small ‘All of Government’ team, Thomas focuses on blindness formats — Braille, large print, audio and audio description, alongside colleagues covering Easy Read and New Zealand Sign Language. As a member of that team, he delivers monthly training on born-accessible documents, represents Blind Citizens NZ at Microsoft’s Accessibility Summits, and consults widely on accessibility across the built environment, transport, information and technology.

Marjorie Hawkings

Marjorie Hawkings joined Round Table in 2016 and has played a key role in delivering Round Table’s annual conferences, managing logistics, sponsors and accessibility planning, and supporting the Executive Committee’s operations. Marjorie has worked at Blind Low Vision NZ since 2010 in various positions and is currently Head of National Support Services, leading the nationwide Administration and Contact Centre teams across 18 offices.
